Jan Kiesser

A couple years ago, Pacific Theatre did a themed season, "PT Goes To The Movies." It featured a special "Stage & Screen" evening for each of the shows, and my special guest for some of those was cinematographer Jan Kiesser. He just put up a website where you can view clips his work on some of the 83 films he's shot. Check it out here.

Amazing to think the same guy lensed Fido, Beowulf & Grendel, and the action sequences in The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift (which are all shown on the site) - not to mention work on 80 other films including Heaven's Gate, Hair, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Something Wicked This Way Comes, Clean and Sober, the notable Door To Door, Martin Scorsese's Kundun, and Jason Goode's Pop Switch. His latest is Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.
